My First Blog Post

“Trust the magic of new beginnings”. You know how the theme song on the TV series Grown-ish goes ” watch out world I’m grown now” ? Well, yes. This is me, all grown and ready for the world. I’ve started tertiary and I’ll be of legal age soon. With all that, comes great responsibility that I’m learning new and different things about everyday. It’s challenging, yet interesting and I can’t wait to see what the future holds in store for me. Everyday is a new leaf, a brand new opportunity to find more magic in me to change the world. I hope this inspires you, now matter how little, to become a better version of yourself, one step at a time. You deserve to have the world celebrate your magic. Go out there and thrive, the world is your oyster!

Why blogging?

Why, hello there. Little-big sister back at again. I bet you read all these blogs going around on the net and you probably ask yourself why do we write blogs ( probably not). Well, my reason is pretty straightforward. There are actually two reasons.

The first is that I really love writing and I figured why not cash in on my talent, right? What better time to start learning independence than now. As I had already mentioned in my previous blog post, I just started tertiary a month ago and I’m learning to explore financial independence. I’m still reliant on my parents for money and it’s not much to go by, but I’m ultimately grateful for it because I know how hard my dad works for it. Amidst all that, there’s a lot that I need but I can’t really get for myself. So I figured, why not do something. I have this world surrounding me, filled with endless opportunities so I might as well reach for those that I can. We’re pretty much living in a ‘gold mine’ era.

Oh, the other reason. I am a self-proclaimed motivational speaker in my own right, because I haven’t really been dubbed as one officially, so until then I’ll stick to that …and yes, that was supposed to make you laugh. My name roughly translated means “comforted” . Ever since I knew that, I’ve been trying to understand it in deeper context so that I can be able to live up to it. That’s how I can say I’ve been trying to align myself with my true purpose. Writing inspirational pieces gives me the greatest satisfaction than most things ever will. Even if I’m not doing it for money I’d still be happy. So, in my blog I’ll be trying to convey inspirational messages, trying to reach out and change lives, even if it’s just one. I know that by so doing I’m playing a part in changing the world, because that single life I helped will do the same for the next person, and it becomes a continuous cycle.

Let’s all try it. Let’s all try to change the world for the better in any way possible. No matter how small you may think your gesture is, it’s the biggest contribution to the world because it has put us a step forward in the right direction, than where we were before. Encourage someone, donate a loaf of bread, clothes, play with a homeless child, anything. It all goes a long way. Even if it’s just smiling at someone and making their sun shine a bit brighter, you’ve done enough.

Although I’m beyond anxious about how people are going to receive my posts, I couldn’t be happier because I’m in a good space, doing what I love….what more could a girl ask for. Signed. Sealed. And delivered. I hope you’ll enjoy this post and keep looking out for more. It’s your little-big sister….!
